The keystone of the Muscle product line is its anti-friction lubricant additive Metal Treatment MT-10®. But this is not your ordinary additive.

MT-10® lubrication technology is based on tribologic methods that improve lubricity and load-carrying capacity by improving metal surface characteristics and creating a stable, chemical, corrosion-controlled, halide boundary film. MT-10® is a blend of highly refined oils and proprietary additives and contains no solid lubricants, chlorinated solvents or phosphate compounds. Once applied, MT-10® provides five mechanisms of improvement:

  • Advanced chemical boundary film formation through reactive chemical bonding;
  • Ring opening, oxirane acid scavenging and advanced corrosion inhibition;
  • Organo-metallic substitution of surface metal and free radical reactionaries;
  • Improved metal surface smoothness and rolling out of irregular contacting asperities; and
  • Re-hardening and latticular reconstruction of initial contacting metal surfaces.
The high & low surfaces of the metal before the addition MT-10®  are shown in the diagram below on the left. The image on the right depicts the metal after the addition of MT-10® - showing improved metal surface, film strength & shear.
 

RECOMMENDED USES

MT-10® is recommended for personal, commercial and fleet automobiles and trucks in these applications:

  • Engines - gasoline & diesel
  • Power steering/rack assembly units
  • Differentials

ENGINES

No need to displace the oil - just add MT-10® to the engine oil reservoir. MT-10® promotes protection and will not build up or change tolerances.

  • Polishes, seals & protects metal surfaces of bearings, pistons, cam, crankshaft, lifters & all other internal, moving metal parts
  • Reduces friction-related heat & wear
  • Enhances engine performance
  • Increases horsepower
  • Lowers operating temperatures
  • Reduces oil consumption
  • Improves fuel mileage
  • Extends engine life
  • Recommended for gasoline & diesel engines

POWER STEERING/RACK ASSEMBLY UNITS

  • Polishes, seals & protects treated metal surfaces
  • Protects against friction-related heat & wear
  • Reconditions rack piston & cylinders
  • Returns smooth & easy operation to the unit

NOTE: If you are experiencing difficulty with the unit, we recommend thoroughly flushing the unit prior to adding MT-10®.

DIFFERENTIALS

  • Polishes, seals & protects metal surfaces of the gears
  • Protects against friction-related heat & wear
  • Optimizes performance for more power
  • Extends differential life

NOTE: Limited slip additive is still required with the use of MT-10®.
